This autumn the weather has been fairly good up here in arctic Norway. In Tromsø just now it is mild temperatures around 5 degrees celcius and no snow on the ground. Hopefully it will get a little colder so we can have some snow - since the sun these days will disappear under the horizon up here, it will be very dark without snow.
Most of my trips this season after halibuts have been very succesful, and I also had some nice Arctic Safari trips fishing for cod with nice people.
Unfortunately the whales have moved more to the north after the herring, but just now its a great feast going on with orcas and humpbacks just outside Skjervøy. The trip from Tromsø to Skjervøy takes close to 5 hours with the M/V Bigfisher II and I am ready to go there on two- day trips if some of you are keen to watch this great adventure with the big whales. Just let me know - my mail is morten@arcticsafari.no.
Here are some pictures from some of the halibut trips this season.
